KYC

Document, selfie, liveness and face match in one session, with scenarios you build in an editor.

What KYC does

Remote identity verification for online services. A user shows a document, takes a selfie and follows a short liveness step. The platform reads the document, checks it for fraud, matches the face to the document portrait and confirms that a live person is present. Your system receives one result for the whole session.

How it works in your flow

  1. Start a session. Your backend creates a session through the REST API with the identifier of your scenario.
  2. The user completes it. The user finishes the steps in the web widget, on a desktop or mobile browser.
  3. Document steps. The document is read and checked. See document verification.
  4. Face steps. The selfie is matched to the document portrait, and active liveness confirms a live person. See face verification and liveness.
  5. Read the result. Your backend reads the status, or a webhook tells you the session is complete.

What your system receives

A session with a status and a list of results, one entry per step in the scenario, such as document, selfie and liveness. The documentation lists every status.

Set it up in the scenario editor

The no-code scenario editor and decision engine lets you pick steps, documents and countries, set thresholds and rules, and start from a template. Templates cover a passport on its own, a passport with a selfie holding the passport, and a passport with liveness.

Add screening

International AML screening can run in the same flow. It is billed separately, at $0.40 a check.
