Use cases
High-value payments and payouts
Confirm who is on the other end before a large amount leaves your hands.
The job
A payment service, a marketplace or a lender sometimes sends or receives an amount large enough to deserve a second look at the person behind it. The look should be thorough, and it should leave a record.
The flow
- The trigger. Your own system notices an amount above your threshold and holds the release. The rule is yours.
- The session. Your backend creates a verification session for the person.
- The full check. The person goes through the document, the selfie, the face match and liveness. See KYC.
- Returning users. A returning user is compared with a stored reference face.
- Screening. The person is screened against sanctions, PEP lists and adverse media. See AML screening. A payee you keep dealing with can stay on daily re-screening.
- The release. Your backend reads the session status, or a webhook announces the result. Your system releases the amount, or holds it for a reviewer, who can make a manual decision in the dashboard.
Scenario setup
Build the scenario for the payout check in the scenario editor: the steps, the documents and countries you accept, and the AML step.
What the platform checks
The platform checks the person: the document, the face, the liveness and the screening lists. The decision to release an amount stays in your system, under your rules.
What your system receives
A session status and a list of results for each step. AML verdicts are read after the DATABASE_CHECKS_COMPLETE event. See session statuses and webhooks.
Price
AML screening is $0.40 a check and is billed separately from the verification. See the pricing page.

Questions, answered plainly
Who decides what counts as a large amount?
You do. The threshold is a rule in your own system. Your backend starts the verification session when an amount crosses it.
What if the person has been verified before?
A returning user is compared with a stored reference face.
Is AML screening included in the verification price?
No. AML screening is billed separately, at $0.40 a check.
Can I keep screening a payee over time?
Yes. Monitored profiles are re-screened every day.
