AML screening
Catalog of AML checks
What the screening covers and how matching works.
Coverage
| Area | What is screened |
|---|---|
| Sanctions | Sanctions of OFAC, EU, UK and UN plus 50+ national lists. |
| PEP | Politically exposed persons, with relatives and close associates, in tiers 1 to 4. |
| Adverse media | Adverse media from 2,000+ sources in 40+ languages. |
The screening is delivered through a licensed data provider.
The checks that are open to your account are listed in the scenario editor, where you switch them on. Each result carries the identifier of its check in the checker field, and the DATABASE_CHECKS_COMPLETE webhook sends the same value, so you can match a polled result to a webhook payload.
Matching
Matching uses machine learning with transliteration, so names written in different scripts and spellings can still match. The match threshold runs from 0 to 100, and the recommended starting value is 70.
Two modes are available: Search for a one-time check and Monitor for ongoing re-screening. Monitored profiles are re-screened every day.
What a result contains
Every check returns the same shape of result, whatever its source. See database check results.
