Operation history and face search

Search by photo and compare faces.

Face search is the section for finding a person by photo in your person lists and for comparing faces against sources. It has two tabs: Face search and Face comparison. The same operations are available through the REST API.

  1. Upload an image with the file action. You can select several files at once. Or turn on the stream to search frames from a camera.
  2. The system finds the faces in the image and shows matches from your person lists.
  3. Each result shows the confidence, which tells how close the match is, and the time spent on the search in milliseconds.
  4. Click a result to open the card of the person. All matches found for one person are collected in a separate window.

Face comparison

A comparison checks whether the face in your images matches the faces of a source.

  1. Choose a group in the source group filter and, if needed, a specific source. Sources and groups are set up in data sources.
  2. Click Compare and upload PNG, JPG or JPEG images. Several files are allowed. The button is available once a source or a group is selected.
  3. Each comparison in the results shows whether the faces are the same, and the confidence. A match is highlighted in green and a mismatch in red.

Until you run a comparison, the tab shows "No data".
