QR hand-off and one-time links
Hand the user to a phone with a QR code, or invite many users with single-use links.
What it does
Two features move the user to the right device and the right session. A QR code lets a person who starts on a desktop finish on a phone. One-time links let you invite people to a verification without calling the API once per person.
QR hand-off
- The user opens the verification page on a desktop.
- A QR code is shown. The user scans it with a phone.
- The phone opens the same widget and the user completes the steps there.
- Your system reads the result as for any other session.
The desktop to phone verification use case follows this flow in detail.
One-time links
Generate 1 to 1,000 single-use links with an expiry. Each link opens one verification for one person. You choose the scenario the links belong to, and you deliver the links through your own channels.
The bulk link invitations use case shows how to run an invitation round.
What your system receives
Each link leads to a session like any other. Read its status through the API or receive the webhook. See session statuses and webhooks.
Set it up
Links are created in the dashboard for a scenario that you built in the scenario editor. The widget runs in the browser, so the user installs nothing. See the web SDK.
