Use cases
Gaming player verification
A light check at sign-up and a fuller check before the money moves out.
The job
A gaming service has two moments when it needs to know who the player is. At sign-up it has to check the age on the player's document without losing players to a long form. At payout it has to check who is asking for the money.
Checkpoint one: sign-up
A light scenario:
- Document. The player photographs an identity document. See document verification.
- Age check. The date of birth is compared with the age window of your scenario. See age check.
- Result. Your rules open the account, or hold it for a reviewer.
This checkpoint checks the age recorded on the document that the player shows. Face verification and liveness tie the player to that document, and they run in checkpoint two. To tie the player to the document at sign-up, add them to the sign-up scenario.
Checkpoint two: before the first payout
A fuller scenario, started when the player asks for a payout:
- Document. The identity document is read and checked for fraud.
- Selfie and face match. The selfie is matched to the document portrait. See face verification.
- Liveness. The player moves the face through two ovals. See liveness.
- Optional: repeat-user search. At payout, the face is searched among earlier verified faces, and a returning face is flagged. See face search.
- Result. The payout is released, or held for a reviewer.
Scenario setup
Build two scenarios in the scenario editor, one for each checkpoint. Each session names the scenario it uses, so your backend starts the right one at the right moment.
What your system receives
A session status and a list of results for each step. See session statuses.

Questions, answered plainly
Why two checkpoints?
A short check keeps sign-up quick: it reads the date of birth on the identity document the player shows and compares it with your age window. The fuller check, with face match and liveness, runs for players who ask for a payout, so the extra steps are placed where they matter.
How is the age checked?
The date of birth is read from the document and compared with the age window you set, from 16 to 100.
What does the platform check?
Identity: the document, the age on the document, the match between the selfie and the document portrait, and liveness.
Can I flag players who hold several accounts?
Yes. Repeat-user search looks for the player's face among earlier verified faces and flags a returning face. In this flow it runs at the payout checkpoint. To get the signal at account creation, add the selfie and repeat-user search to the sign-up scenario. See duplicate account detection.
